About this deal

We cut to the Razer Viper V2 Pro floating dramatically in the center of the futuristic esports arena. The changes to the V2 Pro's feet are much more impactful. The RVU was often called out for having not only some of the smallest feet of its generation of gaming mice, but some of the most sharply angled. Those 90-degree turns and relatively small surface area could create unwanted resistance on softer mousing surfaces. I added some aftermarket feet to my unit to lessen this exact issue. Each time the button is pressed, the DPI on the mouse changes—illustrated by an LED light near the mouse’s scroll wheel which changes from green, to blue, to teal, to yellow. We've converted this review to Test Bench 1.5. This update adds a new Main Button test group, which provides button actuation data and switch information. We've also made minor changes to how we calculate the Office usage score. For more details, you can see our full changelog here.

A lightning-fast bolt of green electrical energy surges into the Razer Viper V2 Pro, supercharging it. We've added a comparison to the recently reviewed Razer Viper V3 Pro in the Comfort of Use section of this review.I compared Logitech's G303 shroud edition to a sports car in my review of it. In its case, the analogy pointed to its shape being less-than-ideal for comfort, but excellent for accuracy. The comparison might be even more apt for the V2 Pro. But, instead of sacrificing comfort for accuracy, you're sacrificing a few features from the previous generation for reduced weight. We've converted this review to Test Bench 1.4. This update modifies our Hand Size Recommendation test, adding a more granular hand size recommendation chart. We've moved several minor tests into different test groups, removed the Travel usage, and added a new Raw Performance usage. For more details, you can see our full changelog here. We've added a link to the recently reviewed Finalmouse Starlight Pro - TenZ within the Weight section of this review. There’s no easy way to tell how much battery life the Viper V3 HyperSpeed has left, unfortunately — there’s a small battery icon in the upper right corner of Synapse 3, but it only gives you a rough visual estimate of the mouse’s remaining battery life (no percentage). The mouse does have a single LED indicator light in front of the scroll wheel that lights up green when it’s connected to the dongle; this may light up when the mouse’s battery life hits a certain threshold butI have yet to get there (and even if it does, it’s still just a rough visual estimate). Bottom Line The Razer Viper V3 HyperSpeed is Razer’s latest addition to its popular Viper line, which is known for its light weight and generally ambidextrous shape. But there’s no Viper V3 Pro (yet) — the predecessor to the Viper V3 HyperSpeed is the Viper V2 Pro. So it’s not just a stripped-down version of the Viper V2 Pro: the Viper V3 HyperSpeed sports a redesign, including some noticeable tweaks to comfort and feel and a forward-shifted sensor.

Side note: There are cleverly-hidden holes beneath the label and feet. If you'd like to see them, visit BeardedBob's YouTube video on his efforts to make the V2 Pro even lighter. His channel is also a great resource on mouse modding in general. Each time the button is pressed, the PPP on the mouse changes—illustrated by an LED light near the mouse’s scroll wheel which changes from green, to blue, to teal, to yellow.

Its impressive performance wipes out the competition, represented by a holographic map littered with red crosses.
