Welcome to the web site of the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards. Ours is one of a number of regiments in the Sealed Knot Society that portray a regiment from the Sedgemoor 1685 campaign in the West Country. We pride ourselves on our appearance and drill and we are always on the look out for new recruits to protect the King.

The following pages contain all that you need to familiarise yourself with the regiment and the society. As well as details on uniforms, arms etc you will find descriptions of the identity that we portray to quell the rebellion of 1685 in the West Country.

I hope you find our website informative and it encourages you to join. If you do, you will be most welcome and I look forward to meeting you at one of our events soon.

For King James II, By the Grace of God, King of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, etc.

Lt. Colonel Upton
Commanding Officer
